Introducing the Electric Vehicle (EV) Toolkit

The Province of BC is assembling an EV Toolkit where you’ll find links to helpful resources as you plan, purchase and install charging stations under the CCI Fund incentives. See below for what is available. You can also access these on the LiveSmart BC website.

1. Eligible Charging Stations and Suppliers (*UPDATED Oct 22, 2012)

Download the updated list of eligible charging stations and suppliers for the CCI Charging Stations Incentive.

2. List of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Service Equipment) service providers

How to Find EV Charging Stations

In future it may be common to find electric vehicle charging stations wherever people live, work and play – including commercial parking lots, shopping malls, grocery stores, schools, colleges and universities, office buildings, airports, rail stations and airports.

Wondering where people are plugging in today? Visit PlugShare.com, which lists some of the first sites in Canada and the US.

For US stations, also visit the US Department of Energy’s Alternative Fueling Station Locator.

About Plug in BC

Plug In BC is an initiative led by the Province of BC to lay the groundwork for plug-in electric vehicles and related electric charging infrastructure.

This is a broad collaboration that includes BC Hydro, the City of Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, Fraser Basin Council (Green Fleets BC), BC Institute of Technology and University of Victoria (Institute for Integrated Energy Systems).

About the Community Charging Infrastructure Fund

A cornerstone of Plug in BC is the Community Charging Infrastructure (CCI) Fund. This fund offers incentives to both public and private sector to help build a network of 570 electric vehicle charging stations across BC for use by the public and by fleets.

The Fund is overseen by the BC Ministry of Environment and BC Ministry of Energy and Mines, and administered by the Fraser Basin Council.
