Introducing the Electric Vehicle (EV) Toolkit

The Province of BC is assembling an EV Toolkit where you’ll find links to helpful resources as you plan, purchase and install charging stations under the CCI Fund incentives. See below for what is available. You can also access these on the LiveSmart BC website.

1. Eligible Charging Stations and Suppliers (*UPDATED Oct 22, 2012)

Download the updated list of eligible charging stations and suppliers for the CCI Charging Stations Incentive.

2. List of EVSE (Electric Vehicle Service Equipment) service providers

Download a list of service providers who offer electrical, planning and other EVSE related services in British Columbia.

3. Process Guide for Choosing Site Location (*UPDATED JULY 30, 2012)

A guide for local government to assist in site selection process of Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. Download the UBC TIPS resource.

4. Case Studies

The EV Toolkit now offers BC case study examples on the introduction of EV charging stations:

5. Signage Templates

The BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has developed an Electric Vehicle Signage Package, which includes both way finding signage, and signage to be installed at the parking stall where an EV charging station will be installed. See the LiveSmart site for full details.

How to Find EV Charging Stations

In future it may be common to find electric vehicle charging stations wherever people live, work and play – including commercial parking lots, shopping malls, grocery stores, schools, colleges and universities, office buildings, airports, rail stations and airports.
