Engine Coolant HeatersEngine coolant heaters are pre-set to heat the engine coolant to approximately 140°F (60°C). This allows easy engine starting and immediate heat from the cab heater. Combined with a proper heat exchanger, these units can also supply heat to a truck cab or sleeper. They consume less than one litre of fuel per hour and most have an electronic timer to let the driver set the unit to come on about one half hour prior to departure time. |
