Why Join E3 Fleet?

Every public, private and non-profit organization in Canada that operates a fleet is welcome to join the E3 Fleet program. No matter what services your organization offers, the size of your fleet, or types of vehicles you operate, E3 Fleet offers good value for money.

By joining E3 Fleet, your fleet managers and staff gain access to industry news, a network of contacts, productivity tools, and the opportunity to participate in an E3 Fleet Review and or seek an E3 Fleet Rating.

Services for Members

Take a look at the benefits of annual membership:

  • Public Recognition: E3 Fleet membership is a sign of an organization’s commitment to excellence, and others should know! Participating fleets are listed on the E3 Fleet website.
  • E3 Fleet Review: A member organization can sign up for a custom E3 Fleet Review, which is a thorough analysis of fleet performance and priority actions for improvement.
  • E3 Fleet Rating: A fleet that makes changes to improve energy efficiency, lower emissions and upgrade management practices can pursue an E3 Fleet Rating to have its achievements recognized.
  • E3 Fleet Rating System Handbook: The Handbook explains the key steps to better fleet performance and how to qualify for an E3 Fleet Rating.
  • E3 Fleet Lite Tool:  Exclusive to E3 Fleet members, this tool can be used in conjunction with the Rating Handbook to help you calculate a basic carbon footprint for your fleet and begin tracking key performance indicators. It’s a good way to get organized for a Review and Rating.
  • Municipal Benchmark Report – Of special interest to municipal fleet managers, this report is a compilation of the greenhouse gas emissions, vehicle availability and downtime and annual operating cost, drawn from the cumulative experience of 62 municipal fleets or divisions that have participated in Fleet Review.
  • E-Newsletter: Our quarterly newsletter offers updates on the E3 Fleet program, training opportunities and industry news.
  • Calculators: Our calculators help fleet managers consider emissions produced from multiple fuels, the cost of idling and life cycle analysis of vehicles.
  • Discounts: E3 members are eligible for discounts on training workshops and fleet consultation services.
  • Network: Looking to connect with colleagues? Take a look at our online member directory.

E3 Fleet Partners

The E3 Fleet program reflects the commitment and expertise of many people, including some of the country’s most innovative fleet managers. All have a common passion – to see Canada’s fleets take a cleaner, green road to the future.

The Fraser Basin Council launched E3 Fleet in 2006 in cooperation with Climate Change Central (Alberta) and Fleet Challenge. Since October 2016, the program has been managed by Fleet Challenge Inc.

The E3 Fleet Charter members were also pivotal to its success: Auto-Gas Propane, BC Hydro, BC Ministry of Environment, City of Coquitlam, Corporation of Delta, Enbridge, City of Hamilton, Hydro One, City of Kelowna, Township of Langley, District of Maple Ridge, City of North Vancouver, Novex Couriers, City of Prince George, District of Saanich, University of BC and Municipality of Whistler. We’ve enjoyed the journey so far, and it’s only just begun. Join us!
